Swedish Massage

Traditional Thai Massage

If you want to improve your joint and muscular range of motion and experience a unique massage, try traditional Thai massage. Unlike Swedish massage, traditional Thai massage involves movement, stretching, and the application of direct pressure. Performed on a floor mat, this technique includes medium to hard massage using pressure points and yoga-like stretching to help blood flow, enhance joint mobility and muscle flexibility.

Thai Herbal Compress Massage

For the ultimate in stress and pain relief, try our Thai Herbal Compress massage. Herbs are steamed while tied in a muslin cloth and applied to those tight muscles prior to your massage. The healing herbs (kassumunar, kaffir lime, lemon grass and camphor, among others) are anti-inflammatory and soothe those stiff, aching muscles while nourishing your skin. The heat penetrates into tissues, giving a deeply relaxing and gentle massage. Plus, they smell wonderful.

Thai Foot Reflexology

Give your fatigued feet some long overdue attention with foot reflexology. Traditional Eastern medicine tells us that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems in your body. Foot reflexology involves pressure applied to the foot which brings relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body. This relaxing massage keeps your body system balanced to keep you in tip top shape.

RMT Medical Acupuncture

Excellent for pain and stress relief, medical acupuncture has a stimulating effect on the nervous system that improves energy flow along the nerves. When applied to muscles, medical acupuncture improves muscle contraction to help reduce pain and relax those taught muscles. Mink uses disposable sterilized needles, making the risk of infection virtually non-existent.

TMJ Massage – Temporomandibular Dysfunction

Do you suffer from pain and stiffness in the jaw, face, and neck? TMJ affects the temporomandibular joint, which connects your jaw to the side of your skull. This facial massage uses gentle manipulation of the connective tissues of your face, neck, shoulders and scalp. This releases the stress that has built up in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage – MLD

The lymph system is part of your body's immune system that helps fight infection. Lymphatic drainage technique involves a light touch to move excess lymph and fluid out of the tissues and back into the lymphatic vessels. This helps to rapidly speed up the removal of wastes and toxins from a sluggish lymphatic system. MLD is different from a regular deep and rigorous massage. MLD uses gentle pressure where the skin is being brushed, not rubbed or kneaded.

Cupping Therapy

A traditional Chinese and Middle Eastern practice, cupping therapy involves placing cups at certain points on a person's skin. This creates suction in the cups, which pulls against a person's skin. Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This relieves muscle tension, which improves overall blood flow and promotes cell repair. It also helps form new connective tissues and creates new blood vessels in the tissue.

Indian Head Massage

Traditional Indian Head Massage focusing on massageing the head with hot oil. A separate massage lotion will be applied to the neck, shoulders, upper arms, face, and ears. It is excellent for relieving stress and promoting deep relaxation.
